If I had to use one word to describe my experience with Kate and I Do Details Events it would be WOW!!!! From the day that my, then fiancé and I, met with her last November 2010, I was in love with her and knew that we had to have IDDE plan our August wedding. Kate and her assistant, Michelle, were one of the best (if not THE BEST) things about our entire engagement and wedding (well besides marrying the man of my dreams. Ha!). From beginning to end Kate put up with all of my crazy indecisiveness and never made me feel like I was being a bridezilla. Ha! Kate came up with wonderful and creative design ideas, was incredibly responsive, and helped coordinate other AMAZING vendors for us to work with. I always looked forward to any correspondence with Kate, rather it be via email or a design meeting (especially the design meetings!). She always had a positive attitude, offered a solution to any problem or question that I had, and time and time again eased my crazy mind!

I’m sure that many brides have this stressful feeling of “how is this all going to come together the way that I envision it”. Well, on August 6, 2011 when I walked into our reception, which was held in the atrium at The Mint Museum Uptown in Charlotte, NC, I was literally blown away to the point of tears. All I wanted to do was hug Kate and Michelle! The reception looked absolutely stunning and even better than I could have imagined. It was PERFECT! Kate pulled everything together and went above and beyond what I could have even dreamed. One of the best things about Kate and Michelle was that they seemed stress free that day, and made us feel as though our day went off with out a hitch. This helped us relax, and we just enjoyed each other, our guests, and had the time of our lives! Our wedding party, family, and friends all complimented us on how beautiful everything turned out and were raving about the fact IDDE had made it happen!

As I am writing this today, one month exactly since our wedding day, I still get a tear in my eye thinking about how much Kate did for us from beginning to end and how lovely everything turned out. She is an incredibly thoughtful person and when it comes to planning it is clear that she is extremely organized and leaves no detail overlooked. I am honestly sad not to have my daily/weekly correspondence with Kate. However, I believe that Kate and Michelle have both become more than just wedding planners to me…I consider them both a friend. I Do Details Events will always hold a very special place in our hearts. I hope to work with them again for future parties, and would recommend IDDE to EVERY bride! We could not have had our big day without Kate and Michelle. Thank you for making 8.6.2011 the best day of our lives! THANK YOU!!!! Xo.

Let me start by complimenting Kate (I Do Details) on pulling Lindsay and Brandon’s event all together!! Words can truly not express how over the top Happy we all are with the results….. Your calm and professionalism and amazing ear and eye are the total package of what ANYONE would be looking for in a wedding planner. Your personal suggestions and touches were heartwarming and made the wedding an event that had and has meaning and has made amazing memories for Lindsay and Brandon and family and friends forever…..Every vendor exceeded our expectations, but, you stand out among the stand outs!! My husband and I had a wonderful experience with I Do Details! They did a fabulous job with our wedding, they really went above and beyond and made our wedding stunning!! Our wedding day was beautiful right up until 30 minutes before our ceremony and then a huge storm came through and our wedding was to be outside – Kate and Michelle did an excellent job creating an alternate solution given the constraints from the weather.  They were very responsive to our requests and I couldn’t imagine having the wedding ceremony and reception without them. Our guests had a great time and couldn’t stop commenting on how fabulous our wedding was!!! Thank you guys so much for all that you did!!! I hope to use them again soon for parties/etc!!!

Kate was the best decision of my whole wedding. I got married outside on 5/21/11 at Lake Norman. Let’s just say I’m not the easiest bride – I over analyze everything and am constantly changing my mind. But the one thing I never changed my mind about was I Do Details. Kate is classy, she gets you, she knows her job is to make you happy and that’s no easy task. She stayed on top of my planning, it was the one vendor I never had to follow up with or kept me up late at night wondering if they really understood what I wanted. The best part about Kate and her assistant Michelle is that on the day of  there were no boundaries. She did everything and every time I passed her she had a smile on her face and I never once worried about her and she never even asked me a question on the day off – she made sure I was there to enjoy the day, she had everything taken care of! Kate and Michelle don’t just do what’s asked or decided either – they are quick on their feet and proactive. I am certain I have no idea how stressed out she was – seemed like a piece of cake to her. And that’s how my wedding went – no drama, no missed deadlines, no forgetting anything. It was perfect. When my husband and I left through a perfectly timed sparkler exit and jumped on the boat – all I could think about was finding Kate and saying “thank you” and of course she was right there. Thank you Kate.

Everyone probably believes that their daughter’s wedding is perfect ~ but I DO DETAILS, under the skillful  hand of Kate FitzGerald, helped ensure that our daughter’s May 7th wedding at the beautiful King Family Vineyard in Charlottesville, Va was perfect and magical.  From the initial inspiration board made by Kate, one year before the wedding, to the final conference calls, the week before the wedding, Kate was information, creative, helpful, calming, organized and a true delight to work with.  But the most valuable thing that Kate did for me was to be the “day of the event” coordinator.   It left me feeling as calm as I could be, knowing that she was making sure that all of the vendors did their jobs, that the members of the wedding party got where they needed to be on time and in one piece and that the reception venue was set up correctly and in accordance with the Bride and Groom’s wishes and desires.   In addition, Kate put together a fabulous and realistic time line for the day of the wedding, and gently prodded all of us to follow that time line!   It was fantastic and kept me from having to remember when to be where!   We could not have had such a peaceful and wonderful day with her guidance and assistance.  I highly recommend her services to every bride and groom lucky enough to use her.

I enjoyed working with Kate, she was very helpful. My husband and I, started working with Kate about 1 month prior to our wedding and she really helped us out with things that we did not even of until she brought it to our attention. Also, Kate did a great job organizing a time schedule for all of our vendors. I think the one thing that was the most impressive was that she made sure our wedding started on time. Our invites said the ceremony would begin at 5:00 pm, and our wedding began at 5:00 pm. Also, it was very important to us that we find someone that we felt comfortable working with and communicating with, especially since we were planning our wedding in NC from DC. Also, four days prior to our wedding my father was diagnosed with cancer. I called Kate to inform her of our situation and to let her know that I may need her help in dealing with certain vendors (because sometimes vendors can be difficult to deal with) that I could not deal with at that time. Kate was more that happy to help. All in all, Kate was one of our best wedding expenses and we couldn’t have done it without her!

I worked with Kate last year as I planned my May 22nd wedding. I lived in Charlotte but the wedding was in Cincinnati, Ohio so it made planning challenging. Luckily for me Kate helped relieve stress and helped me make so many important decisions. I loved all of her creative ideas and suggestions that made my wedding so unique. I felt like I could call her about any idea or question and she would quickly have an answer or would take time to research ways to incorporate this idea into the wedding. Where do we even begin?! Kate was absolutely the BEST decision we made for our wedding! She was one of the first “vendors” we hired and helped us craft our ideal wedding from start to finish. She helped us visualize how we wanted the day to go, stick to our budget, come up with unique ideas, and gave us support up until the very end! The actual day-of (and at our rehearsal) Kate kept us all in order and under control! If something went wrong behind the scenes we certainly did not know about it. Everything was executed perfectly. Kate is well versed in all the latest & greatest for weddings & parties, I certainly hope we get to use her again in the future (perhaps for a big party!?) Thank you for EVERYTHING Kate! Love,

We initially met Kate with I Do Details and Events at a local wedding show in Charlotte. We were in desperate need of a day of coordinator, so we quickly set up a meeting with Kate. Fortunately, Kate was available and her rates were affordable so we hired her immediately. We had the majority of our vendors and details selected prior to signing up with Kate, but she was able to finalize all the details with our vendors. Kate created a thorough timeline that I was able to send to the wedding party, family members and vendors. Kate made sure that the day ran smoothly without any hiccups. It was a pleasure working with Kate.
